In Stay Safe, Mr Phantom turns the surveillance camera into a monumental authority, looming above a densely populated city and casting its gaze across private homes. The broken handcuff suspended above it introduces a deliberate contradiction: the promise of freedom exists alongside an expanding system of observation. Illuminated windows expose intimate domestic moments, dissolving the boundary between public security and private life. The network of fine lines across the city suggests a population increasingly connected, tracked and mapped through invisible systems. The title carries a pointed irony, asking how much personal freedom society is prepared to surrender in exchange for the promise of safety.
