In The Like Farm, Mr Phantom transforms the agricultural landscape into a metaphor for the machinery of social media. A human figure is bound to an extended selfie stick, surrounded by winged symbols of likes, comments and approval that replace the birds of a traditional field. Endless rows beneath the figure suggest industrial-scale production, drawing parallels between farming and the systematic harvesting of attention, engagement and personal data. The cruciform pose introduces a darker language of sacrifice, questioning what individuals surrender in pursuit of recognition and online relevance. Through satire and familiar digital iconography, the work examines a culture in which validation has become a commodity and the individual both its producer and its product.
