Nocturne draws inspiration from the quiet mystery of coral reefs after dark; a world that transforms once the light fades. I wanted to capture the sense of life unfolding in shadow, where colour softens and texture takes precedence. Using oil and natural materials mixed with sand, sawdust, pulp, and marble dust, I built a surface that feels raw and organic, mirroring the porous structures of coral. The work reflects my fascination with coral - its hidden life and capacity for renewal.
